JOB: Asst/Assoc Professor, Asian American Studies, UC Santa Barbara
The Department of Asian American Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for Assistant or Associate Professor in the social sciences to begin in Fall 2009. Area of specialization is open, but expertise on Filipino Americans, South Asian Americans, or Southeast Asian Americans is especially welcome. We seek candidates with an outstanding record in scholarship, teaching, and service. The University is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, and/or service.
Applicants with Ph.D. degrees in sociology, anthropology, political science, economics, urban studies, ethnic studies, or related social sciences preferred.
Review of applications will begin on November 21, 2008, and continue until the position is filled.
