Full-time Adjunct Assistant Professor or Instructor (non-tenure-track)

The Boston College English Department will be hiring 5 full-time adjunct faculty, to begin teaching in the fall of 2009.   These are non-tenure-track positions with 3-year renewable contracts.  Teaching load is 3/3, primarily in our First-year Writing Seminar and freshman Literature Core programs.  Candidates with a PhD or MFA will be hired at the rank of Adjunct Assistant Professor, and candidates with an MA will be hired as Adjunct Instructors.  All applicants should have a minimum of 5 years experience with demonstrated excellence in teaching composition and freshman-level literature.
