Assistant Professor in Asian American History, UNC – Chapel Hill

The UNC-Chapel Hill Department of History is one of the largest academic departments within the College of Arts and Sciences. The Department is committed to the purposes of a research university, to the teaching of history at the undergraduate level as a core discipline in a liberal arts education, and to the training of graduate students.

The Department of History at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Asian American history. Responsibilities include a teaching load of two courses per semester teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Asian American history as well as U.S. history and/or other field(s) of specialty. Sub-field is open. We welcome applications from candidates whose work aligns with our departmental mission as outlined on our website (https://history.unc.edu/about-us/). Applicants must have Ph.D. in hand in the field of history or a related field by July 1, 2024.
