Assistant Professor of Global Literature, Emerson College Review of applications will begin on November 1, 2023, and priority will be given to applications submitted prior to that date. The Department of Writing, Literature & Publishing at Emerson College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of literature with a focus on the global traditions of the novel. The Department seeks candidates who can contribute to the excellence and diversity of the academic community through teaching, other forms of engagement with students outside of the classroom, scholarship and service activities. The appointment begins August 22, 2024 with a mandatory 2-day orientation August 22 & 23, 2024. The candidate will be expected to teach courses that focus on the global traditions of the novel. Successful candidates should also possess an active research portfolio, with the strong potential for future scholarly growth. This position is located at the Boston campus teaching in-person classes, though there may be opportunities to teach undergraduate and graduate classes online.
