The Asian American Studies Program and the Department of Gender and Women’s Studies at the University of Wisconsin- Madison seek to hire a tenure-track assistant professor in the area of Asian American Studies and gender/sexuality. The selected candidate will mount a rigorous research program and make significant contributions to the teaching mission of both units. While we are seeking a scholar who engages with both Asian American Studies and gender/sexuality, the specific area of focus is open and scholars may engage any research methodology from the humanities and/or social sciences. The tenure home will reside in Gender and Women’s Studies, and the appointment will be budgeted in both Asian American Studies and Gender and Women’s Studies. The successful candidate will contribute to an inclusive, fair, and equitable environment that fosters engagement and a sense of belonging for faculty, staff, students and members of the broader community.
