Lecturer in Asian American Studies Binghamton University Review begins March 7 The Department of Asian and Asian American Studies at Binghamton University seeks a full-time lecturer in Asian American and/or Asian Diasporic cultural studies. Discipline and area of specialization are open, but we are particularly interested in candidates whose work considers the circulation of cultural forms, expression, and practice – including but not limited to literature, film, popular culture, and food studies – and bridges Asian American and Asian Diaspora studies, broadly defined. Candidates with experience in community engagement and/or digital humanities will also align with current campus initiatives. The successful candidate will teach three courses each semester (six courses total per academic year). Initial appointment is for up to three years, beginning August 19, 2025, with the possibility of renewal. Requirements: Ph.D. in Asian American Studies or a relevant disciplinary/interdisciplinary field by August 18, 2025. Research expertise and college-level teaching experience in Asian American and/or Asian Diasporic cultural studies.
