Visiting Assistant Professor, Wofford College Applications received by April 14 will receive full consideration. Wofford College invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor in Asian and/or PacificIslander studies, Indigenous studies or Latinx studies in the college’s Department of English Languageand Literature. We are particularly interested in applicants whose pedagogy and scholarship show acommitment to diversity, equity and justice. Applicants will have a Ph.D. in literature or be ABD by the start of the appointment in the fall of 2023,and will provide evidence of excellence in teaching and scholarship. The incoming faculty member willteach courses of their own design, such as a first-year seminar in the liberal arts and introductory andintermediate courses for English majors in their field of study. The teaching load is 4-0-4 with two coursepreps per semester. Contingent faculty members will not be required to teach during Wofford’s Januaryterm.
