Postdoctoral Associate in Asian Studies

The Asian Studies Program at Tulane University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate position that bridges divisions across Asian Studies and Asian American Studies. Special consideration will be given to candidates whose work directly addresses questions of race and racialization in transnational or globalized contexts. The Program seeks candidates with innovative research agendas, a commitment to undergraduate education, and experience in social justice and antiracist organizing. The associate will be affiliated with Tulane’s Asian Studies Program and assigned a faculty mentor. They will teach one course per semester and devote time to research and scholarly writing. This position is renewable for one year. Asian Studies is an interdisciplinary program housed in the School of Liberal Arts that draws on faculty across the School of Liberal Arts including Art History, Anthropology, Communication, English, History, Philosophy, Political Science, and Sociology in addition to offering language programs in Chinese and Japanese.
